Guidelines have been framed by the Tamil Nadu Government for temporary flagpoles at events.

As per the order of the Madurai Bench of the Hon’ble Madras High Court, guidelines have been framed by the Tamil Nadu Government for the erection of new statues and flagpoles on private lands in Tamil Nadu, the replacement of already erected statues and flagpoles, and the erection of temporary flagpoles at events such as political party meetings, election campaigns, conferences, processions, dharanas and festivals.
