The National Land Records Modernization Programme, under Centrally Sponsored Scheme through the Union Government Department of Land Resources of the Ministry of Rural Development for Computerization of Land Records in Rural Areas, Urban Areas, and Digitalization of Field Measurement Sketches has been implemented in Tiruvallur District.

Computerization of Rural Area Land Records
In all the 9 Rural Taluks in the District, the Rural land Records have been Computerized and launched in to Web based Land Records Title Mutation System in Online. So far 483427 applications (287791 involving subdivisions (ISD) and 174770 not involving subdivisions (NISD)) are disposed off.
Computerization of Urban Area Land Records
Out of 3 Municipal Town (Avadi, Tiruvallur and Tiruttani) in Tiruvallur District, 2 Municipal Towns (Tiruvallur and Avadi) Urban Land Records have been brought into Web based Land Records Title Mutation System in Online. In remaining 1 Municipal Town (Tiruttani) Urban Land Records, the Computerization of Urban Land Records Data has now under progress.
Digitalization Field Measurement Sketches
In all the 9 Rural Taluks out of 2,08,688 Field Measurement Sketches 2,08,480 F.M.S are digitilised by using “Collab Land” software and F.M.S are brought into Web based System in Online to facilitate the Public to view and to take extract of their own lands Field Measurement Sketches in Online.
Natham Land Records Computerisation
In all the 9 Rural Taluks, the Natham Land Records are computerized and Data verification is under progress. Gummidipoondi Taluk has been taken up as Pilot Taluk for implementation of Online Mutation of Natham Land Records.
Creation of Land Records Management Centre (LRMC)
Out of 9 Taluks, the Land Records Management Centres in 6 Taluks (Gummidipoondi, Uthukottai, Tirutani, Pallipattu, Tiruvallur and Poonamallee) have been established.
Firka Surveyors Office cum Residential Quarters
In Tiruvallur District, So far 8 Firka Surveyors Office cum Residential Quarters have been constructed.
Construction of continuously Operating Reference Controlling Stations (CORS)
The latest technology in Land Survey i.e. Digital Survey using D.G.P.S (Differential Global Positioning System have been introduced in Survey and Land Records Department, 3 CORS control Stations out of the 70 locations across the Tamil Nadu State, in Pallipattu, Gummidipoondi Taluk Office campuses and Tiruvallur collectorate campus are selected and constructed in Tiruvallur District. In Tirutani Municipal Town, the Town Survey work has been taken up w.e.f 01.12.2017 by using the latest technology in Land Survey i.e. Digital Survey with DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) and completed on 5.2.2021..
